View from the bottom of Granite Bowl. This is a good point to explain the two types of trail encountered on the Rubicon. The first type being slab, as seen in this photo. Slab portions of the trail are wide open and your route from A to B is not well defined. The other type of trail is the well defined, forested sections where your route from A to B is through a vehicle wide swath in the trees. Photos near Gate Keeper well portray this latter type of trial.
